The Town of Glen Lyn is located on the Virginia - West Virginia boarder of Giles County. Incorporated by order of Circuit Court of Giles County, January 30, 1926.

Route 460 running through Glen Lyn winds beautifully along the New River and is protected by steep mountainous terrain and rich green vegitation.

Quiet country roads leading from the center of town to the outskirts offer breathtaking views of the New River and the peacefulness of clear mountain streams.

Steeped in history and tradition, Glen Lyn offers a variety of talent among it's citizens. From Old Timey Bluegrass to the handmade crafts of the Appalachians, the traditions continue along with the values handed down from generation to generation.
